Expert advice on selling your property - garden maintenance
As you guys know, we are in the process of selling our home – seeing as this is on my mind, I thought it would be fun to share the steps we are taking to present our home in the best light to attract a wonderful buyer (and a wonderful price)! Alongside my decluttering tips, I’m sharing advice from property and style experts – this week we are hearing from See the Difference Garden Maintenance, with some epic advice on getting the exterior of your property ship shape.
Wash your house
First impressions count! Wash and/or waterblast the exterior to eliminate any dirt and grime. You want your home to be pristine – don’t let a spiderweb laden wall turn potential buyers away before they reach your front door.
Weed and spray
Hand weed garden beds and pay attention to the sides of the driveway. Use a weed spray to ensure the weeds die. Try to do both of these jobs one month before putting the house on the market so all the weeds are dead and the area is looking nice and welcoming for your first open homes.
Mow those lawns
Make sure your lawns are looking beautiful before your real estate photography, and then mow again each week before open homes. Heather from See the Difference Garden Maintenance says: “It’s fine to mow weekly – use a catcher if possible. If you don’t have a catcher, mulch the lawn and rake up the clippings.”
Selling your property can be stressful and overwhelming. This is where outsourcing to a professional can be a lifesaver. My friends at See the Difference Garden Maintenance can help with one-off projects to get your property looking perfect in time for your first open homes, as well as offering ongoing maintenance packages. Outsource as much as you can so you can glide through the sale process, calm and confident that the experts are helping make your home irresistible to potential buyers.
